RETREAT FACILITY
The owners of Dream Village have been going to Costa Rica for 12 years. They have assembled a package of accomodations, food and transportation that are available to Yoga, Tai Chi, Meditation or other teachers who seek a serene environment to hold a retreat. Lodging in comfortable beach side Caribbean cottages Use of large pavillion for retreat activities Breakfast and lunch daily (healthy vegetarian) Ground transportation to and from San Jose to the coast (flights arrive in San Jose) Lodging in San Jose upon arrival and departure of the retreat guests The organizers (Lou and Drea) have held 4 retreats to date. Most notable of the instructors was Tias Little, who brought 21 of his students to Punta Uva in 2006. Other instructors from Santa Fe have held successful retreats at the facility, which lends itself to a variety of retreat and workshop venues. The actual location of the facility is Itaita Villas www.costaricaitaitavillas.com. It contains a large open air pavilion that serves the retreat activity (22 people can do Yoga). Accomodations are normally double occupancy. Each bungalow has 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom with hot water, and a porch with an outdoor kitchen. Maximum capacity at Itaita Villas is 17 people, depending on configuration. Additional lodging in other nearby complexes is available for larger groups or deluxe or single acommodations. The location is ideal. It is a very short walk down the path from the complex to direct beach access. There are 5 restaurants, 3 cafes and 2 grocery stores all within walking distance, yet the actual setting is private and peaceful. The nearest town of Puerto Viejo is 7 kms. away and offers numerous restaurants, nite spots, great shopping and access to a variety of tourist services such as tours and boat rides. Activities can be included in the retreat package if requested. A retreat organized by the Dream Village team can be a relaxing, rejuvinating and serene event or a playful fun time or a combination of both.
